Michael Oste Doctor of Chiropractic & Owner
Dr. Michael Oste is the clinic director and licensed Chiropractor serving the Minneapolis community for the past 14 years. He is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN. He received his B.S. degree in biology from the University of Manitoba.
As the founder of Take Care Chiropractic & Wellness. Dr. Michael Oste has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Minneapolis, MN. As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Oste is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of patients and their families.
Dr. Oste uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. He has extensive experience in treating sports and athletic injuries and acute and chronic injury care. Other specialties include exercise, nutritional programs, ergonomics, orthotics, and digestive concerns. Using this unique approach, Dr. Oste is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
When he is not busy coaching others how to achieve optimal health, Dr. Oste enjoys time with his wife, two daughters, and two sons as well as most outdoor activities and pursuing his lifelong passion of continued health and wellness.
Jay Wanken Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Jay graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1999 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, as well as earning a Microbiology major and a Chemistry minor degree from North Dakota State University. Since that time he has been making an impact on the health and well-being of the Twin Cities area. He was honored by being named "Business Man of the Year 2005" by the Republican Party, is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, an ambassador for the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance, past member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Minnesota Chiropractic Association and the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Jay has earned training in several different adjusting techniques to equip him to adjust almost any individual no matter their circumstance. These techniques include, Diversified, Thompson Drop, CBP, Activator, Logan Basic, MC2, and many infant/child/mother specific adjustments to use during pregnancy to optimize the mother’s and baby’s capacity to develop and function optimally. He also has extensive experience treating adult and children athletes from weekend warriors to future Olympians.
Dr. Wanken has attended many pediatric and wellness seminars to further his ability to see children. In 2009 Dr. Jay received a certificate in nutrition along with 40 hours of nutritional training.
Dr. Jay is a motivational speaker having the opportunity to improve the mindset of employees from various businesses and schools. He also speaks in the community about ear infections, attention deficit disorder, creating wellness, children athletes and the power of positive thinking.
In addition to his passion for Chiropractic he also enjoys staying active in church functions and spending quality time with his family. His hobbies include fishing, cycling, watching movies, spending time on the water and traveling.
Cecilee Oste Practice Operations Director
Cecilee earned her Bachelors Degree in Science and Design Communications from the University of Minnesota. Cecilee is passionate about the wellness lifestyle and makes it her mission to research safe and natural alternatives to conventional medicines. She is a certified natural childbirth instructor and Bradley Method trained. Cecilee enjoys gardening, boating, outdoor activities like skiing and being with her children and family.
Amanda Gonzales Team Leader
Amanda is a certified Chiropractic Technician from Moraine Park College in West Bend, WI. She has had a passion for natural healthcare since a young age after her first visit to a chiropractor, after which she decided to become a certified Chiropractic Technician. She also went on to get her bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management. She grew up in south-eastern Wisconsin and met her husband in St. Paul, MN. Together they enjoy spending time with family, friends and their two dogs.
Kelsey Norgren Massage Therapist
Kelsey graduated from CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu School in April of 2015 with a certificate in the Therapeutic Massage Program. Kelsey is trained in Trigger Point Therapy, Therapeutic Deep Tissue, Traditional Swedish Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Thai Massage, Internal Jaw and Prenatal Massage. Kelsey enjoys working on challenging body conditions, recovering past and present injuries as well as helping clients relax while educating them on self-care to feel their best. In her free time, Kelsey likes to spend time with her friends, family & dog, Oliver.
